...And We're the Evil Ones

I was watching With Out A Trace last night, and i began thinking about what is really considered evil. This episode was about this pedopheliac who kidnapped his niece. It kind of confuses me because the theistic right is so concerned that we are evil (because we haven't accepted jesus christ as lord or whatever) that they seem to forget that there are real people out there who hurt children and animals and everything. People are bombing cities in the name of their gods. the Christians murdered people because they didn't accept the new religion. And we are the ones who are evil?! When was anyone ever killed in the name of atheism? No, South Park does not count. It just seems funny...

Are you kidding? South Park is the ULTIMATE evil, right? Right? Or not...

I know. Strange that you really never hear about quack atheists running off to rape little kids or bomb buildings...it's usually reports on Christians who've been so supressed they lash out in some way. Not necessarily suggesting that Christianity causes pedophilism, but it certainly doesn't seem to HELP. And yes, it DOES seem to cause terrorism.

Yeah, I never got that. That why the main reason I began my atheist blogging. Because I am one of the most moral people I know. I don't even like to lie when others think its okay. My mom calls me "Lisa" because of Lisa Simpson. Morality is rational.

The thing that bothers me is that many lessons from the new & old testament, Koran, etc are completely and utterly immoral. Most theists will pick and choose what is actually moral (ie, killing your kid because he does not worship the same). So clearly, its not attained from some book. And doing good just to please some being in the sky is not morality, but sucking up.

nice blog. :)
